MAURIELLO RUNNING FOR NY ASSEMBLY’S 110th DISTRICT
Albany County Leader Seeks GOP & Conservative Nominations in Assembly
Race to Represent Colonie, Niskayuna & Parts of Guilderland/Schenectady
COLONIE, NY – Frank Mauriello today announced he is running for New York’s 110th
Assembly District, seeking the Republican and Conservative nominations. Mauriello,
Minority Leader of the Albany County Legislature’s Republican & Conservative
Conference, plans to run an aggressive campaign centered on addressing the
affordability crisis created by state politicians and bureaucrats.
“New York is broken under One Party Rule in Albany – I’m running to fix it in the State
Assembly,” said Mauriello. “For more than 10 years, our representative in the 110th
Assembly District has failed to deliver real results for working families, small businesses
and everyday taxpayers. Utility bills have skyrocketed. Taxes are too high. People are
fleeing our state at record rates. It’s time for a change in Albany – the status quo isn’t
working."
Frank Mauriello’s life has been defined by a commitment to family and community. In
addition to being a County Legislator, Frank’s record of public service includes:
● Former Colonie Town Councilman (1998-2007)
● Colonie Deputy Supervisor (2004-2007)
● Member and Chair of the Colonie Sign Review Board (1994-1998)
● Member and Chair of the Board of Fire Commissioners for Midway Fire
District (2009-2013)
● Past Member of the South Colonie Dollars for Scholars Board of Directors
● Member of Colonie Central High School Hall of Fame
Mauriello is the son of immigrants from Italy who settled in the Colonie/Schenectady
area. Frank was born in Niskayuna, raised in Colonie, and is a proud graduate of
Colonie Central High School and Siena College. A husband, father and grandfather,
Frank recently retired after a long and successful career in the private sector.
Frank is serving his third term in the Albany County Legislature and continues in his role
as Minority Leader of the Republican and Conservative Conference. New York’s 110th
Assembly District covers the Town of Colonie, Town of Niskayuna, and parts of
Guilderland/Schenectady.
“This Assembly District is where I was born and raised. I know the people and their
needs. I am committed to being a full-time State Assemblyman, 24/7/365 – the
residents of this district deserve nothing less,” Mauriello said.
In addition to today’s announcement, Mauriello will be holding a formal campaign kickoff
event on Thursday, February 26th (Media Advisory to follow).
