LOCAL ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE FILES 3X THE AMOUNT OF PETITIONS NEEDED TO QUALIFY FOR BALLOT

ALBANY, NY – Frank Mauriello (Assembly Candidate for the 110th District) today issued the following statement on his petition filing:

“I am proud to announce that our campaign this week filed more than 1,500 Republican petitions, or triple the amount needed to qualify for the ballot this November. In addition, we easily exceeded the required amount of signatures needed to run on the Conservative line. I want to thank my fellow Republicans and Conservatives from Colonie, Niskayuna, Schenectady and Guilderland for their continued support and assistance.

People are ready for a change in the 110th Assembly District. A growing affordability crisis and continued dissatisfaction with One Party Rule are some of the issues I hear about most every day. Whether it’s rising utility bills, excessive taxes or out-of-control spending by their state government, many residents I spoke with are fed up and ready to leave New York if things don’t improve.

Assemblyman Phil Steck has been in office for more than a decade either doing nothing or making matters worse. His record and actions align more closely with downstate Socialists than they do common-sense voices of reason from Upstate. Hardworking people in our district deserve someone that will represent their interests and not the interests of New York City elitists. It’s time for voters to wake up and finally retire ‘Stagnant Steck’ this November.”
