COLONIE, NY – Frank Mauriello today formally launched his campaign for New York’s 110th Assembly District, securing critical endorsements from Chairs of the Colonie Republican Committee, Albany County Republican Committee and Schenectady County Republican Committee. Mauriello additionally picked up support from local Conservative committees in those municipalities, clearing a path for him to run on both lines in this year’s election.
“Following our announcement last week, I have received countless words of support and encouragement from Republicans, Conservatives and voters of all backgrounds in the 110th District,” said Mauriello. “I am both humbled and thankful for the response our campaign has received so far. The race is just beginning, and today I am reaffirming my commitment to the people of Colonie, Niskayuna, Schenectady and Guilderland. New York is broken and facing an affordability crisis under One Party Rule – I am running to fix it in the State Assembly."
“I’ve known Frank Mauriello for more than 30 years. He is a ‘man of the people,’ committed first and foremost to his family, his friends and his community,” said George Scaringe, Chairman of the Colonie Republican Committee. “His public service and record is unmatched on the local level, in strong contrast to the incumbent Assemblyman. I couldn’t be happier that Frank is in this race, and knowing him, I know he’s in it to win it!”
“Frank Mauriello has deep roots in both Albany and Schenectady Counties, and I have no doubt he is well-positioned to flip the 110th District from Democrat to Republican,” said Liz Joy, Chairwoman of the Schenectady County Republican Committee. “The Capital Region is becoming an electoral battleground this year, as we have local candidates up and down the ballot focused on turning our state around from the damage caused by Kathy Hochul and her allies. Frank is a critical part of this great team.”
“For the last decade, Frank Mauriello has been a strong leader for Republicans and Conservatives in the Albany County Legislature. He’s taken on the entrenched Democrat machine while still securing important victories for his constituents,” said James McGaughan, Chairman of the Albany County Republican Committee. “Phil Steck on the other hand is a rubber stamp for the machine and his party bosses. For starters, his voting record is a direct cause of our National Grid bills rising. The choice couldn’t be more clear this November – I’m behind Frank for Assembly.”
“We are unanimously endorsing Frank Mauriello to run on the Conservative line this November,” said Schenectady County Conservative Chair Jim Barrett and Albany County Conservative Chair Matt Clyne. “Our recommendation is being made to the State Conservative Party because we know Frank supports our values, and he will help fix New York State as the 110th District’s next Assemblyman.”
Frank is serving his third term in the Albany County Legislature and continues in his role as Minority Leader of the Republican and Conservative Conference. New York’s 110th Assembly District covers the Town of Colonie, Town of Niskayuna, and parts of Guilderland/Schenectady.
“I’d like to specifically thank Colonie GOP Chairman George Scaringe, Schenectady County GOP Chairwoman Liz Joy, Albany County GOP Chairman James McGaughan, Schenectady County Conservative Chairman Jim Barrett and Albany County Conservative Chairman Matt Clyne for their support today. They understand better than anyone else that local residents are fed up with the high cost of living driving people out of the state. My opponent can continue doubling down on his failed record – we will provide a much-needed alternative in this year’s Election,” Mauriello said.
